i'm tired of waiting ,

i'm tired of anticipating ,

i'm tired of looking ,

I just need a sign ,

a tiny one just to tell myself that there is another world outside of 'here'

I'm tired of this routine and whats to come ...

Sometimes i fail to look at the signs before i turn,

when i hit a crossroad,i go all blur and teary,

i've come a long way to only meet another detour,

fatigue , pain , desperation , i know them by heart ,

the fear of knowing that a way out is still far from sight,

sends me the shivers and skips me heart a few beat,

So i sit and i wait , though i know , i'll break under this heat ,

but deep down there'a a small voice telling me to hold on and walk the beat ...

its time to choose i guess , a slight mistake , and i'm all done .

Ramadhon Kareem friends :)

sheesh..it doesn't sounds good.

im getting much haggard too these days,

but nevertheless,i'm happy , and grateful to Allah,

for letting me pass 21 years of life,Alhamdulillah,

although i don't always (mostly i would say) get what i want,

i'm still a happy man..cos i know,that i will be with my family soon.

and there's nothing more that i look forward to than that :)

so this is me,wishing myself :) may my coming years be the best and may it be better in all aspects:)

we often scuffle over bits of misunderstandings and self-glorified ideas and perspectives ,

whereby we already have the quran in hand,all we needed to do was to open it,

read it,understand it and hold on to the commands of Allah..

isn't it funny when we fail to see the quran's position in our lives?

haven't we been studying it till today? or have we been just opening it up during exams or when

a death has occurred?

its touches me deeply when the above qoute was by someone whom we see very much hostile when it comes to lives, ..and yet,he sees the position of the quran..so when will we see it?

i still feel glad the very second i shut my eyes,

cos, i lived another day by the grace of Allah,

I would say that life is complicated..

life is full of all kinds of mysteries that human fail to apprehend till today..

but let's not all talk about life in General..

let's talk about the society we live in..

the Muslim Society we Singaporeans live in..

from there,let's narrow it down to our scope in the society,

as a student for say,

so recent events in our life as Singaporean students in Egypt has opened a whole new

perspective of the term 'independent' and also 'complacent'

let me take you back to a time whereby we all came for a meeting ,

a meeting held to clarify certain issues regarding financial help and etc,

so what about the meeting?

well,to be honest,we we're of course,treated as :

1)kids ; why do i say so?let retrospect do its work in our mind for now,

The true purpose of the meeting was to have a clarification from 'those people'

regarding our financial aids.agree?

so we were initially presented with a itinerary of what happened in Egypt since the 25th January

incident,which i personally think was a waste of time considering that we 'lived' through the

ordeal and that we know better than to 'revise' what happened.

That took quite a long time to end and then we were greeted 'graciously' by 'those people'

whom landed up telling us jokes and made some of us laugh , i beg to differ , and those jokes ,

i take them personally as insults to us undergrads for they actually undermined our abilities to

understand their reason behind it.

Well,lets look ahead again,

so after the jokes were done, and 'the guy' then told us that things aren't that easy for them to

just 'shower' us with financial aid as they need to do a background check on who will be eligible

for the 'subsidy' and who won't be..well,if u asked me..i would say that its fair enough for them to

stick to that stand as they've always used it during the end of every 'harvest' season..

i've expected it , so i was ready for that..

but lets look at the next point,

the point in which they stated that they won't let our parents sit down and shake legs

while 'the people' fork out money for us..

it's again,another insult,to all of us,directly at our parents,

i wonder how did they ever got to sit at their respective positions and throw such trenchant ,

nasty,acerbic and sarcastic words at us?

And did we feel the pinch of it?if you don't then i would say that whatever education you've had,

i won't want it even if u offer me the world..

so let's move on to the next one..whereby answers were not given emphatically or clearly,

to know that such a big organization not prepared for such questions is something i see

ridiculous....

And above all of that,we did not get what we came for,even more,

parents we insulted and we were made a laughing stock for them all..

So the question lies here...are we too complacent with ourselves?that we don't really care

of our dignity as students of a prestigious university?

Or are we too dependent on other people to go forward and ask for clarifications?

or are we too dumb to actually know what's happening in there?

if you ask me, i would say that we've been wasting too much of our time on 'programs'

(which were initially targeted to produce academically inclined individuals) that we don't actually

benefit from..i'll give you the luxury of doubt here,because this is what i feel..

if all this while we say we study,we learn,we gain knowledge..then i would say that we fail to

recognize the one thing we have even before inputting knowledge..

the right to think and the right to question..

Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

in yourself that you dread all the ambitions you have..

Alhamdulillah,

i managed to complete my friday prayer in rabaah adawiyah mosque ,

and the khutbah,subhanallah..it was one of the best,

i could feel it hit me and everyone around me straight into our hearts.

jazakallah ya imaaam!

and the contents of the khutbah ,

its full of dalil and full of inspiration for everyone especially in these moments..

how i wish i needn't go back..

i will definitely miss the khutbah here...

if only the khutbahs in singapore were like these..im sure i will be much more

happier to listen to it.

apart from that,things are quite peaceful here in district 4 and district 7.

Alhamdulillah,

though hundreds of thousands of people are in tahrir (liberation square)

demonstrating..Allah Yahdinaa..ameen ya rabb.

i can sense that ur changing,

but if you embrace the change,

im sure you're able to know how to navigate,

Assalamualaikum guys!!

Reporting live from Rabaa'ah al adawiyah , Cairo , Egypt is me khairul!!

so im leaving egypt in 60 hours time!

been through lots of experience and lots of lessons learned!

im living through the days here by hoping that i wont need to go back to singapore,

but i do need to go now..thanks to them people pressuring my mum...thus making her

paranoid of the situation here..haiz..

i'm just beginning to love the places and people..

had my plans for holidays and now i can't go on any holidays..

some tell me that Al-Azhar is gonna close for a year ,

if this is true..i really don't know what to do...haiz..

i hope it won't happen.Because i really need to clear my studies as soon as possible.

Anyways,2moro,the 4th of feb will be a day to look forward to ;

supposedly the protestors are giving the hosni mubarak till 2moro to leave his post,

if he doesn't , they will march to his palace and try to topple him down..huhu..

well if that's what they're hackering for,

then let it be..

it's their struggle right, it's their fight,

let them settle their scores without us intervening ayte guys!

so sit back and we shall see what happens 2moro ayte.

im sitting here thinking of exams...

its just 3 weeks away...

i don't know what to expect and

i find myself slower in processing my information whenever i read the books,

but people keep telling me to be steady and just go with it,

tell me how do i go on with it when there are thousands of stuffs in my mind...

they keep coming but they wont leave..

and i cant find a place here to sit alone and think of things ,

like how i did back then in singapore..

theres just no suitable places here for me i guess..

and as the day passes by,

my anger towards the egyptians would double..

whether i made the correct decision to come here...

and i need a new one,to apply for medina,
since IIUM changed their system of application...

And all i got was,
"sorry,we cant do that,its against protocol"

What protocol?protocol my foot...
im upset with this news,
and i really am disturbed by this...

Why cant he understand?
is it so hard for him to do so?
why cant he help a student,
to fulfill his wish.
A simple wish that is...

I hate him too much to think about it already,
i hope that he wakes up one day,
and realize that the fall of the school
is being contributed,mostly,
by him...

Its 4 am in the morning,
i just got back from a very interesting and challenging discussion with some of my friends here,
it sure helped put some light over matters concerning our future,
and i really hope,we see our religion as something holistic in our lives,
and that it will continue to be our main focus till the end of our days,

Please look at the macro scales when it comes to religion,
Sometimes we take everything for granted,
and in this act of ignorance,
we fail to see whats behind the curtain,
and fail to remember that when dealing with the enemy,
we must always expect them to penetrate our wall of interests and motives from
all angles available..
so how can this be avoided?

Make sure we know who we are,what we stand for,why are we here and lastly,
which comes first?Your responsibility towards this religion or your responsibility towards
an organisation/friend etc..

are we socially engineered to a state such that we take in everything we're given?
or are we just too naive to use this thing called 'brain'

little do we realize that each and every of the ticks,
represents different n significant values in our lives,
it changes things,it changes the way we color our thoughts throughout the day,
we police through the city in and out,

we only care to look at the bigger hands of it,
thus our lives,such oriented to look only at larger scales instead of the smaller ones..
to say thanks to only the big things,yet we overlook,
the minor details, painfully pieced to form up the bigger events,

There's too much of things on my mind,

Exams are just a month away...im working on my bahath for now,that will take me atleast 5 days..so im left with 3 weeks...to complete almost 5 books,
I just hope i have the consistency in reading up,
notes and all have yet to be done,
ive not been to any tuition at the Malaysian house,
why?
because its always at 3.30pm,when i reach home from kuliah,
its already 2pm,and im dead tired already...

why cant they have the ttn at night instead..
i envy you girls here!!

And they say i need to sacrifice my sleep here during the afternoon,
but if i dont sleep,i'll be sleepy and tired whilst lesson is going on,
whats the purpose of going then..haiz..
and you know i cant sleep well during the nights here..
im still wide awake although its already 1am...
insomnia?i dont know,you tell me..

this past few days,im burdened by some problems from Singapore,
and i know,he's not at fault totally,
he's human too,like all of us,
he makes mistakes,i'll give anything to protect him,
and i'll do anything to make sure he does well in the future,
I need lots of strength for now..

And my past,i find it bothering me at times,
disturbing me in my sleep,
it can be disturbing..very..

Lastly i think that life has lots to offer,
and that we have to make the right choice,
even though it means starting from the bottom

Now,this is not good! im tired of looking for a way to slim down!

We start to remember Allah,
our parents,our family whenever we fall into trouble,

we cling on to our rosary beads,
we pray on time,we make the supplication,
we read the quran,
we learn the hadith,the tradition,

we try to practice our lives as islamic as possible everyday..
we do all the above when we see dark times coming..

what about the good times?the never ending ni'mah,
we laugh,we chat,we mingle around,all these we do,
merrily,without the slightest idea of to who we shud say thanks to,
to who we owe this happiness..

What about those outside,
living by the streets,hindered from even the basics of life,
living without the roof over their head,battling the coldness of the night wind,
the unbearable heat of the day..the wailing of their hungry ones..
do we give ourselves a minute to think of all this,
while we stuff ourselves with all the luxuries of life,
we forgot that truly this luxury we have,will all be made accounted for..

if there is ever a time we remember Allah most,it would be during the toughest of times..while has He ever forgotten us?
if he did,surely the oxygen,the food,the water,the sleep that we have tasted or felt till today would had been gone..

Just got back from a tiring day with bhaihaqi..
and im pissed off..very pissed off with everything..
we went out early in e morning,around 8 am,
hoping to not get caught in traffic..but we did..
and i hate the jams here...its not because of anything..its just that
the cars for extreme left wud jump into the extreme right and vice verse..and merger lanes; from 4 lanes to 2 lanes...=massive jam..and ive been thru it for 3 days..im sick of it already...Allah helped me alot..alhamdulillah..

After that when we reached tahrir (mugamma') the ICA here,we went up and went to submit our application for visa...so we were told to wait for 2 hours..
okay..no worries,we went in well prepared with books to read ( only me :P )
while waiting we saw the numerous no. of angry people/tourists/agents shouting and arguing,some had their docs missing after submitting them,some tourist had to purchase the visa stamps at booths and such..so i could actually see the chaos again,(this happened when i applied for mine the previous time)
tons n tons of forms submitted were filed up and then manually searched for..
i dont know why but i started to get angry and agigated by the scenario..
after 2 hours of fiddiling with my book ( not being able to read it thanks to the noise) we went to check for our application...haiz..

we: kaefa iqaaamah ?
booth clerk: enta min ai bilaad?
we : min singofuraa
boooth clerk : *search manually*......maafish,istanna shuwaiiya,mumkin?
we: aiwah...shaakirin..

so we waited for another hour and a half..and finally we got thru it...
with fatigue falling in and the sun smiling on us..
we made our way to the embassy...to get the certs endorsed..
after taking the metro subway...we walked for almost an hour..
and finally we made it to the embassy...Alhamdulillah..

after endorsing it ( thansk sylvia for helping) we made our way back to tahrir,
to endorse the certs again under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs..when we finally cleared it..it was close to 3..after zuhur..we made our way to the bus station..and boarded the tramco back home..
and the sight of traffic had me almost to tears..i just cant bear it..we have like cars cutting in and out...and theres just nothing i cud do but ask for forgiveness..as i sweared and cussed at em...Ya Allah..this is really a test..
i reachd home..stumbled on my bed..and im gone..( after solat lar kan )

so why am i actually sharing wid you guys all this?weird ryte?
well,im just angry..so angry im sure i cud hit my head on e wall..
i need more strength..i need more patience...i really need that..
but i just dislike the term 'patience' when it comes to something we can actually change to make it better..Egypt deserves better than this okay...huhu..

Its gonna be another sleepless night,
every single night i lay awake staring at the ceiling hoping for sleep to engulf me..
but it aint happening easily..

Whenever i feel that i should already be asleep,
my mind tells me that im still not ready to sleep,
because there's so much to think about..so much to think and work on,
but all i do is sit down and tell myself i'll do it the next day,

this procrastination disease,it will land me in trouble one day,
when i can finally close my eyes,its just 2 hours short to dawn....its a new day already..
and i stumble out of house,feeling all shitty..
when this happens,all i wanna do is to go back and sleep the whole day..
but i know it wont happen..

When there's no internet,
i get furious,i complain,i fret about it,i get so pissed off..
what for?just to FB?just to go online?and refresh my wall every 5 mins?
it doesnt makes sense,
im abusing my internet access by limiting it only to online social platform,
when i know that there are actually tons of benefits i can get from it..
I need to do some reflecting on my intention here..i really need to do that.
i hope the coming days will be better...ive had enough of sleepless nights
and i want my sleep back,i want it so bad..
Is there any price i can pay to get just 8 hours of sleep?
if there is,im one willing person.
Cause i know,i've had better days..

If there's one thing ive learned throughout my stay here,
its how important your bonding is with Allah...

When you dont have anyone to confide to,

to complain of your day,
to just let everything out,

theres always Allah there..

ive learned this,over and over again in spore..but when i come here,
when i start to live my days here,the only thing that makes me sleep
with peace each night,is doing this and knowing that Allah has given me
another day,which has just passed.And i look forward to the next day hoping that,2moro will be a better day than today,im indeed a human,
i need alot of changes,lots of self-reflecting to do..

the reason im posting this tonite is because that ive often pondered on things
which are not relevant to me,and try to make them worth my thoughts,
but at the end of the day,i know that im only cheating myself,and i have lots to actually think about...

and i cant wait for it,the nights here are starting to be terribly cold,
while the afternoon can get very hot and irritating.huhu..
and ive yet to shop for my winter clothings,

and ive started going for kuliah although ive yet to receive my results for the entrance test,

today i went to Al-Azhar as-shariff,wid bhai,
met up wid the other guys,and talked about kuliah and stuffs,
so i went in to take a look at the lecture halls..
and....
i find it...hahaha..masyallah..
its old school,like the classes you see in harry potter ( kalau salah,sorry )
long benches,long tables,made from solid wood,showing signs of aging already,
but it seems to carry an air of mystery to it..this maybe the classes which gave birth to the finest ulama' before and insyallah till today..masyallah...

yet,im a bit disheartened with their system when it comes to the time-table for lectures and all..i mean..i know its old school,and i shudnt be commenting,but
it would truly help if abit of system is applied to it,maybe a printed version and maybe some rules on no smoking in the buliding,better admin systems and all.
I hope they will work on that,so that it will encourage more of us to lead a systematic life,according to islam.islam indeed is also a religion built on various systems,meticulously developed so to ensure that muslim understand the importance of following a system and not astray from the right path.(quran n sunnah) ameen..if im wrong on this,do comment,indeed im thinking out loud:)

and apart from that,im hoping that bhai gets thru the application and secure a place in Al-Azhar,ameeen.

And i noticed that,i eat once a day here,mostly during evening..alhamdulillah,
nafsu makan dah boleh dibendung..haha,but they say that during the cold season,we tend to eat and eat and eat and eat...i hope i can survive it without ballooning into a giant..muahahahaha

alhamdulillah.
As im typing this,our fren bhaihaqi has long gone to sleep in front of me,
hahaha,must be tired i guess.and we have a few long days coming up,
so sleep is definitely a must for now.lets all make doa for Bhai okay,so that he does get accepted in azhar or the maahad bu'uth.insyallah:)

and im still not able to sleep at night..
i dont know why,eventhough im damn tired
but i just can close my eyes..
and when this happens..my mind starts to remenicient the days i had before this,
how hard is it for you ( my mind ) to let go of the past and look into the future,
im sure theres plenty in store for you there..haiz..let me know when ur done with ur retrospect stuffs and all..

Assalamualaikum,
hey guys..i havent been blogging for quite sometime already..
I guess cos i was drifting here n there while in spore,
always busy and helping dad with stuffs and all..

So today..i just felt like blogging..and even though no one seems to already read it,i'll just blog..who cares?as long as i get things off my mind,and of course my heart ;)

So im now in Cairo,Egypt.Im planning to do my Degree here..
of course..i wanted to be in medina to do it..but i wasnt accepted there..
Allah knows best :) ( but i did re-apply again,hehe)
ive decided to pursue my degree in Arabic language,known as kuliyyat lughah.
I know its the right thing for me,insyallah :)
So far,cairo has been full of surprises,
i expected desserts surrounding my place here,hahaha,
but its like a town..full of peculiar yet funny people,culture and of course,
food! I really shud had dont some research on e Egypt..

Then i did manage to catch ramadhan here,i got like 2 weeks of it here,
Alhamdulillah,its a great experience,to hear the azan over the speakers so loud that it woke me up most of e times.something i dont get in spore,Alhamdulillah..and ramadhan has also shown me the other side of the people here,they're more generous and really,really appreciate this month compared to where i came from..so its an eye opener:)

Hari raya..hmmm..it was a whole difft thing also..its a one day affair here,
ALhamdulillah,its something we all need to ponder on dont you think so?
they come to prayers,they finish it with well wishing for others,they gather at relatives place..have meals together,talk,laugh,and really they are happy:)
its clearly a happy day.on the contrary..our people in spore.take it more of a sad day..and exaggerate the celebrating of it till a whole mth!hahah.Allahu mustaan..

And its here when i really start to think of the future,what i really wanna be,
when?how?who?why? all these things,they keep coming to me..and lectures have even yet to start!! i guess its a turning point in life..lots to ponder on..
but one things for sure..My journey has just started..and i think ive got a super long way to go!I hope Allah gives me all e courage and patience needed! Ameen ya rabb:)

then...to You.things have been hard for you,you lost the most precious person..Allah is surely testing you big time..but Allah will only test those He loves:) I know i cant be there for you..but i'll try my best kae?to see how i'll be of help..cos ur someone very Dear to me..someone i know,who had an impact on me:)

Hye Guys!!

How did the mth of May go for you guys?
it went pretty well for me..
cos i wasn't in spore for most of e weeks..

I went to visit a few places..i saw different cultures and lifestyle altogether,
it really did broaden my perspective on certain issues and also made me at times
be grateful of the system we have in spore when it comes to customer services and such,
yet it also made me feel that we deserve more from our leaders out there when it comes to welfare..

So anyways,i turned 21 and i guess im an adult already.hahaha.
i dont know how its supposed to feel but im still grateful that Allah has given me time again
to reflect on my past and ponder on what i can do for a better future..Insyallah..

To my friends out there that wished me for my birthday,i cant thank you enough to let you know how grateful i am.thanks yuh :)
To Friends that threw me a surprise birthday 'party'.hahaha! You guys are awesome!
i was totally caught off,and i guessed it made my day more special then any others..

jam menunjukkan 1.30 pagi..namun ku tak mampu untuk tidor..
bukan kerana apa..tapi kerana belum lagi menanda kertas2 latihan murid2 ku..
haha..maysALLAh..minggu ni terlalu sibuk dengan kerja..sampaikan tiada masa untuk melakukan apa2 berkaitan mengajar..
dalam aku duduk2 nie..aku terfikir seketika..
layakkah aku ni mengajar orang?sedang kadang kala aku pun ade juga silap dalam
kehidupan seharian..rasa bersalah ketika mengajar...namun aku buntu jugak..
kalau2 aku berhenti..dah tentu adik2 ni akan menghadapi masalah peralihan guru,
sudah tentu guru baru akan membawa sistem pembelajaran yang lain..mmg lain orang lain caranya kan?ataupun lebih baik aku berhenti..tapi mengajar dan mendidik adik2 nie kadang memberi inspirasi pada diriku..melihat sifat ingin tahu mereka..saat mereka gembira ketika dapat diceritakan tentang kisah2 anbiya' dan sahabat..haha..tak pernah sekalipun mereka mencebik ketika diceritakan.bahkan pelbagai persoalan akan diajukan..sehingga melebihi had masa yang ditentukan..
dalam pada itu..kadang2 terasa juga bahang kekalahan dalam mendidik..
ianya timbul ketika melihat pelajar2 ini bertukar ke personaliti yang sangat lain ketika berada di luar class/mesjid...seolah2 tidak pernah diberitahu tentang tertib2 seorang muslim/muslimah...
ku tak menolak yang kadang diriku ini juga berlainan di luar..mungkin ini kesan nya?ku cuba memperbaiki diri ku setiap kali melihat orang lain...ku cuba untuk merenungkan matlamat hidup seorang muslim dalam dunia ini..supaya diriku ini kembali memahami seruan ALLAH..dimana kita adalah sebaik2 umat yang dikeluarkan untuk manusia,menegakkan kebenaran/kebaikan dan mencegah keburukan/maksiat..
apakah persekitaran harus dipersalahkan?ataupun sistem pendidikan yang menjadi lompangnya di sini?ALLAhu Mustaa'An...

kawan2,andainya melihat diriku ini kurang,tolonglah tegur..nasihati..sememangnya manusia perlu sentiasa diingatkan..sebab itu kita dinamakan insaan..andainya salah..tolong lah diri ini..tegurlah..semoga kita sama2 meraih manfaat..insyALLAH..

gerek pe.walaupun tak sume yang dpt pegi,tapi ia tetap happening.thanks lar korg2 yang dpt pegi,atleast dpt ku ilangkan stress ku yg dah bertimbun ni.hahahaha.
Pada mereka yang tak dpt pegi,takpe2..insyAllah next time ade peluang,kite make sure the whole group of us pegi.tggu sume balik belaja uh kalau boleh.insyAllah..

haha,Alhamdulillah,ive found myself a Job..
im filling in as an assistant logistic helper...
glad to have found one already...sitting at home,
lazing around,waking up late,excessive eating,
all these has made me 'soft' and im overweight..
my friend even asked me to fill in as a Santa on christmas cos i have
the physical qualities building up in me..lots of potential..memang mintak kene
lempang..hahaha.so thats all uh,
btw just to share,its at alps avenue,TNT logistic ( i know what you're thinking,and its not that)
so i shall dedicate myself to work this few months..and hope to shed off the extra fats i've gained with much 'difficulties' . lol

As im typing this blog, im counting down the hours,
the hours to once again lead a human life..
2 years..,i've been living under constant pressure,fear and hope.
2 years..i've been unable to sleep well..
2 years of much sufferings.but ALLAH is great.
Along with it,i gained experience of the real world.
A world where one should never falter and lose hope.

Its been too long,to remember my good old days..
days whereby the sun keeps shining and the moon keeps gleaming,
for the memories of these are left far behind..
overcomed by hardship..

i still remember 1st april..
the images are vivid..
playing in my mind whenever i stare out...
over and over again,
i was told by this mind..
that something should had been done that day..
to avoid all these..
but ignorance is yet again powerful...
so powerful that one can only realize the consequences..
and stare without words....

Cantoment...
my first experience with the other side of life..
a life so fearful that the sound of ur gates..
sends chills down the body...
the voices in you...
shows the treatment you provide..
for those who unwillingly paid you a visit..

14 feb 07...you're still present in my mind till today..
it was on your grounds that i learnt to eat my own words..
to swallow whatever given and not complain..
for the wonder of world during your presence was not avail to us in there..
ur walls..4 of them..are the witness to whatever was said and done...
ur floors are the grounds on which much of a times gave us nothing but coldness..
